The site's own record
The standards on this site require an answer to every objection, by a date. The site keeps the same rule for objections to its own clauses. Each gets a public answer within 30 days, and every answer is listed here.
- Anyone with a GitHub account can object to a clause of a standard. An objection is a GitHub issue, filed from the Object link beside each clause in a standard's clause register or from the objection form.
- A bot replies when the objection is filed, with the date its answer is due: 30 days after it was opened.
- The bot flags an objection with no answer at day 21 and marks it overdue after day 30.
- Each answer says whether the objection is upheld. An upheld objection ends in a revision of the clause or a published reason for keeping it. One upheld objection is enough to require that; there is no threshold.
- The record below is generated from those GitHub issues. A weekly job proposes the update, and it appears here when it is merged.
