Heroism-dependent systems

Definition

Systems that rely on extraordinary effort, unpaid care, or silent sacrifice to function: the share of the human subsidy that gets praised as heroism instead of counted as cost. The effort hides a system that is hard to halt and does heavy harm when it fails.

The heroism is a fallback nobody wrote down, which is normalized dependence in its human form. Counting that effort into dependency state makes it a budget item rather than a virtue.
