Evidence pack

STD-06 Evidence Pack

Portable evidence artifacts and threshold tests for the Human Impact Safety Case standard.

Proof-carrying safety

Evidence that survives scrutiny

STD-06 evidence packs make safety cases portable across auditors, regulators, and affected people.

Tiered evidence model

Tier 0 to Tier 2 minimum

Start with Tier 0 for baseline proof, then scale to Tier 2 for resilience.

  • Tier 0 (minimum): Proof the test battery and safety case are recorded. Safety case summary, threshold dashboard, receipt payloads.
  • Tier 1 (operational): Proof the controls are used with real people. Halt drill receipts, remedy ledger entries, disclosure packets.
  • Tier 2 (resilient): Proof the controls hold during incidents. Incident memos, regulator-ready exports, remedy verification logs.

Portable artifacts

Evidence artifacts required in every safety case

Artifacts must be timestamped, exportable, and tied to receipts.

  • Safety case summary: Scope, impact class, and test battery results with timestamps.
  • Kill authority roster: Named halt owners, delegation basis, and coverage schedule.
  • Remedy obligations ledger: Owner, clock status, and resolution proof for each harm class.
  • Disclosure packet: Receipt, reason, appeal path, and clock visibility for affected people.
  • Do-not-deploy boundary register: Active boundary breaches and the last remediation review date.

Test battery

Evidence per threshold test

Provide proof for every test in STD-06 before deployment.

  • Time-to-halt logs + halt receipts with stopwatch measurement.
  • Time-to-remedy tracking with evidence of verification and follow-up.
  • Contestability access audit (1-step test, no-paywall).
  • Burden ceiling measurements with UX flow maps.
  • Disclosure latency report with receipt delivery timestamps.

Portability

Checklist for regulator-ready exports

Artifacts must travel across vendors, auditors, and community review.

  • Artifacts exportable as PDF + JSON/CSV with stable IDs.
  • Time-stamped, signed, and linked to receipt IDs.
  • Plain-language summary included for impacted people.
  • Retention policy documented and published in the safety case.

What auditors ask

Audit questions to prepare for

Answer these with links to the evidence pack and safety case summary.

  • Show the latest safety case summary and its test battery results.
  • Provide the last three halt drill receipts with time-to-halt measurements.
  • Demonstrate remedy clock compliance with verification evidence.
  • Show the public-facing disclosure packet used for affected people.
