Glossary entry

Corrective standing as epistemic admissibility

Definition

The requirement that friction and contradiction from affected people enter the institutional record as evidence. Once recorded, they must be able to change the model or category that produced them. They are not dismissed as user error, settled as one-off grievances, or absorbed by frontline staff.

AgencyStructural

Tests that show it is in place

  • Affected parties can log a contradiction directly in the system of record, without a gatekeeper in between.
  • Aggregated contradiction logs trigger mandatory evidentiary re-evaluations under STD-07.

Hypothetical example

  • A tenant portal automatically records repeated repair escalations as structural building defects that trigger rent escrow reviews, rather than closing tickets upon dispatch.
